Catrice Cosmetics is a vegan European brand that manufactures quality cosmetics than can fir every budget. I love each and every product from Catrice that I tried so far and today would love to share with you my thoughts of their transparent loose powder Loose Illusion.

Packaging. Powder is packaged in a transparent plastic box with a black glossy twist cap and a sifter lid inside. There’s no mirror or powder puff inside the box.

Scent. Just like many other transparent powders this one has no scent.

Formula and application. The product is finely melt, applies onto skin nicely and evenly and doesn’t look chalky. With this powder you can use any brush that works well for you.

Color. The powder is absolutely transparent and matches all skin tones. Looks great on the skin even when a generous amount is applied.

Wear. It works well with my combo (oily when it’s super hot) to normal (sometimes a little bit dry in winter) skin both in summer and in winter. I love to use it mostly to set my makeup right after application or sometimes blot throughout the day.

General impressions. Generally, I really love this powder. It works really good for all skin types, especially for oily and combo skin, making it matte. This isn’t a soft-focus powder, as manufacturer claims it to be, though it definitely makes skin matte and velvety.

Will I buy it again? Yes, if I am on a budget.

Did it do what it said it would? Mostly yes. Though I haven’t noticed any obvious soft-focus effect, this powder looks nicely on the skin making it matte and velvety. It really works well for all skin types and all skin tones.

Pros: price, versatility, ease of use, feels comfy on the skin

Cons: not a soft-focus powder

Overall rating: 4,5/5
